Foam generators are used when it is necessary to fill most part of the volumes where foam extinguishing system is produced and/or closed volumes by foam. Its function in the system is to increase contact of the foam formed with the air and ensure its volume to expand. Highly expanded foam is used in case of closed location fires with a very high combustion rate and desired to control the fire in a very short time and flow requirement and application time are determined in accordance with the principles of NFPA-11. Generators, however, are manufactured based on preferences of the manufacturing company.
